Uomini Di Mare formed in the coastal town of Lerici, where Mario Pozzoli and Roberto Tiranti started making music together around 2000. They worked with songwriter and producer Alessio Salerno on their early material, including the single "I Sei Motivi." That song became their first notable release, a ballad about sailors and their families that found an audience in Italy.
Their debut album "La Fine del Mondo" came out in 2003, followed by other records like "In Medio al Mare" in 2007 and "L'Anello Mancante" in 2011. They performed at the Sanremo Music Festival in 2005. Other songs in their catalog include "Anch'io," "Appena Chiami Sai Che Vengo," and "Benvenuto Nel Violento."
The group's lineup has included Pozzoli on vocals and guitar, Tiranti on vocals and keyboards, Salerno on vocals, guitar and bass, and Massimo Schiavoni on drums. They've released five studio albums and a live record over about twenty years.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
