Up For Sale formed in São Paulo in 1989 with André Dahmer on vocals and guitar, Marcelo Biela on guitar, Paulo Seixas on bass, and Fábio Cardozo on drums. They released their debut album 'Suburbania' in 1997, which got attention for its raw energy and included the title track that became a hit.
Their 1999 album 'Diálogo' gave the band one of their most recognizable songs, and they followed it with albums like 'Nação' in 2003 and 'Animal' in 2008. In 2004, they faced accusations of plagiarizing a song by the band Júpiter Maçã, which were eventually dropped.
Their later albums include 'Assim Assado' from 2013 and 'A Máquina Parou' from 2019. Songs like 'Injúria' and 'Longa Metragem' remain part of their catalog that Brazilian rock listeners know.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
