Archive material and source history
UPA started as a project for the television series 'Un Paso Adelante' in 1998. The show followed students at a dance academy, and the group's original lineup included Beatriz Luengo, Pablo Puyol, and Miguel Ángel Muñoz. Their first album, 'UPA Dance,' came out in 2002 and included the song 'Ella Llora,' which became widely popular in Spain.
They released several more albums over the next few years, including 'Física y Química' in 2003 and 'Contigo Sí' in 2004. Their music mixed pop with dance and Latin rhythms, and they toured in Spain and Latin America. Other songs like 'Sueldos' and 'Cuando Vuelvas' also appeared in their catalog.
The group was active through at least 2005, when they put out 'UPA: El Sonido Definitivo.'
