A Toronto rock band that formed in 2002 and put out songs like 'Loving Car Crashes' and 'Bruce Lee'.
For a good sense of their sound, 'Loving Car Crashes' and 'Bruce Lee' are solid places to start. They're both pretty representative of that no-frills rock approach.
They came out of Toronto in the early 2000s with a sound that didn't overcomplicate things. Songs like 'Loving Car Crashes' and 'Girl With a Gun' have that direct, guitar-driven feel. Their debut EP track 'Bruce Lee' got them some early attention, which led to a deal with Elektra Records.
The band formed in 2002 and released their first EP 'Volume I' the next year. They signed with Elektra and put out 'The Best of the Worst' in 2005, then went independent for 'The Broken Ground' in 2008. Daniel Puleo and Brendan Braddock have been the constants through lineup shifts.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
