Valada formed in São Paulo in 2016 with Juliana Linhares on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Samico on bass, and Rafael Costa on drums. Their debut album was called 'Tempo,' and they followed it with 'Maré' and 'Espaço.'
Their song 'Terapia' became particularly well-known, along with tracks like 'Piropos' and 'Sete Colinas.' The music often blended pop, rock, and folk elements with introspective lyrics.
They worked as a trio from São Paulo, with Linhares handling much of the songwriting. Their sound developed across those three albums, maintaining a focus on melodic arrangements and emotional themes.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
