Valdilene

Valdilene Alves dos Santos was born in Guarabira, Brazil in 1969. She started singing in local church choirs and released her first album in 1998, called 'Deixa Deus Trabalhar' (Let God Work).

Her songs, like 'Jeová' and 'Aquieta-vos,' are straightforward expressions of faith. She sings about trusting in divine providence and finding quiet in difficult times. The music isn't complicated, but her voice carries a clear, earnest quality that connects with listeners looking for that kind of message.

In 2001, Valdilene was diagnosed with a rare cancer that threatened her ability to sing. She recovered and returned to performing. She has released more than a dozen albums since her debut, maintaining a consistent focus on devotional themes without much stylistic departure from her early work.
