Songs like 'Hino do Doutrinador' and 'Hino do Amanhecer' were used to express the group's teachings about spiritual evolution and reincarnation.
The music itself mixed traditional Brazilian rhythms like samba and bossa nova with psychedelic rock elements, creating an eclectic sound with complex harmonies and ethereal vocals. The group had a rotating lineup that included musicians like Eduardo de Araújo on guitar and vocals, Osvaldo de Lima on drums, and Vera de Carvalho on vocals and percussion.
Tia Neiva claimed her teachings came from divine revelations from an entity called Mestre Divino. The group's unconventional practices drew criticism from some religious organizations, and in 1973 Neiva faced legal trouble when she was arrested. Their songs, including 'Hino da Junção' and 'A Aldeia Encantada,' continued to be part of their spiritual work despite these challenges.
