Vale y Roger was a Mexican duo formed by Valeria Garza and Roger González in the late 1990s. They came out of Mexico City and put out their self-titled debut album in 2000. That record included "Nuestro Amor," which became their most recognizable song.
Their music mixed pop with romantic ballads and some traditional Mexican sounds. After the debut, they released albums like "Para Ti" in 2002, "Momentos" in 2005, and "Eternidad" in 2009. Roger González was injured in a car accident in 2003, which interrupted their touring schedule.
There was media attention around rumors of a romantic relationship between the two members, but they kept working together. Their vocal harmonies and stage presence drew a following in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America.
