After the song's release, the band faced a disruption when allegations against guitarist Ethan Banning surfaced in 2022. They suspended him during an investigation, then reinstated him when the claims were found unsubstantiated. They released an EP called "Beyond the Surface" that same year.
Their sound pulls from pop and alternative rock with some electronic textures, but they haven't put out much material beyond a few singles and that one EP. The lineup that made "Fire Again" appears to still be together.
