Van Foxter formed in São Paulo in 2012 with four members: André Catelli on vocals and guitar, Pedro Mendes on guitar and keyboards, Rafael Ramos on bass, and Gabriel Santana on drums. Their debut single "Embuste" came out in 2014 and got them some attention in Brazil.

They put out two albums, "Verdade" in 2016 and "Infinito" in 2019, along with some EPs and singles like "Here Alone." In 2017, there were plagiarism claims about their song "Enigma," but those didn't stick. Their music mixes pop, rock, and electronic elements.
