Voor alle schepselen die bestonden
heeft Hij die stille dag
piemel en poesje uitgevonden
waarmee Hij dier na dier voorzag.
Zo deelde Hij Zijn werk in tweeën
en de verveling was voorbij:
er werd meteen al flink gevreeën
en had je nog geen hij of zij
die dit geluk met je kon delen
dan kon je met jezelf gaan spelen.
