Vanessa Abreu is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Rio de Janeiro. Her debut single 'Cai Pra Dentro' came out in 2015, followed by the album 'Aquela Força' in 2017. She's released two more albums since then: 'De Corpo e Alma' in 2019 and 'Voz do Meu Samba' in 2022.
Her music draws from samba and bossa nova rhythms she grew up hearing in Rio. She's known for performing with a band that includes guitarist Pedro Guinu, bassist Gabriel Martin, drummer Thiago Baggio, and percussionist Leo Maia.
In 2018, she faced some criticism after publicly supporting a presidential candidate who was facing corruption accusations. She continued to use her platform to speak about social issues she believed in.
