Vasos de Barro

Vasos de Barro formed in Pereira, Colombia in 1988. The name translates to 'Clay Vessels,' and the group's original lineup included Martín Valverde, Ricardo Acosta, and Luis Enrique Romero. They began making Christian music in the early 1990s, putting out albums like 'Levanto Mis Manos' in 1991 and 'No Te Rindas' in 1993.

Their song 'Principe da Paz' became particularly well-known, along with tracks like 'Lugar Seguro' and 'Pra Onde Correr?' Their music sometimes drew criticism from more conservative religious circles in Colombia, but they kept recording through the decade, releasing 'Principe da Paz' as an album in 1995 and 'Sobrenatural' in 1998.

Over time, other musicians joined the group, including Fernando Céspedes on percussion and Ana Catalina Vargas on vocals. They continued putting out music into the 2000s with albums like 'Más Que Ayer' in 2005.
