Velho de Câncer came out of the Brazilian underground in the early 2000s playing thrash metal. The band's debut album, also called 'Velho de Câncer', arrived in 2004. Their songs include 'Cu De Sujo', 'Cidade Morta', and 'Grande Nada'.
Their live shows were known for chaotic energy, and their lyrics drew criticism for being explicit. The vocalist Cu De Sujo has been the frontman throughout, with guitarist Jorge 'George Satan' Barbosa and bassist Maicon 'Necroterror' as other members.
They released albums like 'O Inferno É Aqui' and 'Demônio da Escuridão'. The music stayed abrasive, mixing thrash with speed metal and hardcore punk elements.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
