VenarK formed in São Paulo in 2017 around guitarist and vocalist Rafael Plasse, drummer Matheus Ceccato, and bassist Bruno Ribeiro. Their early work leaned into melodic metalcore with atmospheric touches, a sound they developed while navigating the usual financial and logistical hurdles of a new band.

Their debut single 'Entre Estrelas' came out in 2018 and found an audience, helping establish their presence. They followed with a self-titled album in 2019 and later EPs like 'Lost in the Ether' and 'Beyond the Veil', which incorporated more electronic and ambient textures into their core sound.

Plasse handles most of the writing, contributing both the music and the band's introspective lyrics. Their songs, including 'Imensidão do Que Não Vimos' and 'Kairós', often build from heavy foundations into more expansive, melodic passages.
