Veneno Rock formed in Madrid in 1989 with a lineup that included Kike Veneno on vocals and guitar, Enrique Morente on vocals and palmas, Raimundo Amador on guitar and vocals, El Pove on bass, and Diego Cortés on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 1990, which blended flamenco with rock. The track 'Brisa' from that album became a hit single.
After their debut, the band released several more albums including 'El Pueblo Guapo' in 1991 and 'Un Mar de Sueños' in 1992. They disbanded in the mid-1990s as members moved on to solo work. Their music, particularly 'Brisa,' remains known for its fusion of traditional Spanish sounds with rock arrangements.
