Verlorene Jungs

Verlorene Jungs formed in Hamburg in 2004 with Malte Pittner on vocals, Hannes Herrmann on guitar, Sven Herrmann on bass, and Basti Hartmann on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2006, and the track 'Verlorene Jungs' became something of an anthem for a certain kind of German youth at the time.

Their lyrics often dealt with rebellion and alienation, which connected with listeners but also drew criticism from some quarters. They kept putting out records like 'Regentage' in 2009 and 'Die Welt gehört mir' in 2012, sticking mostly to a pop-punk sound while occasionally bringing in other elements. Songs like '1000 gute Gründe' and 'Biertrinken ist Wichtig' give a fair sense of their straightforward, sometimes provocative approach.

In 2018, Malte Pittner left the band to work on solo material. They released another album called 'Horizonte' that same year.
