Vertavel formed in São Paulo in 1993, with Roberto Martins on vocals, guitarists Igor Carvalho and Raphael Costa, bassist Leandro Alves, and drummer Rodrigo Marenco. Their sound pulls from thrash metal and samba rhythms, a combination that's been their foundation from the start.
That track appeared on their album "Não Tenho Medo," which also includes songs like "Alvorecer (Ela)" and "Incêndio."
Earlier albums like "Raça e Sangue" from 1997 and "Entre a Cruz e a Espada" from 2002 established their approach, mixing heavy guitar work with pointed social commentary. They followed up with "Sangue Bom" in 2017.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
