Vertente was a Brazilian group that formed in 1973 with Milton Nascimento on vocals, Wagner Tiso on piano, and Novelli on drums. Their sound mixed Brazilian rhythms with jazz and classical touches, which some listeners found challenging at the time. Their debut album that year included the song 'As coisas mudam.'
They released a few more records in the mid-1970s, like 'Lóki?' in 1975 and 'Terra' in 1976. The group didn't last long, wrapping up around 1978. Other songs people remember include 'Brigas' and 'De perto ninguém é feliz.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
