Vete Ala Versh was a Peruvian band with an unconventional name that translates to 'Get Lost.' Their 2009 album 'Cati' included the title track that became something of a cultural phenomenon in Peru, capturing listeners with its melody and rhythm. The song 'Cati' seemed to represent certain struggles and aspirations for a generation there.
Manongo Mujica handled lead vocals and songwriting, while Juan Pablo Caceres played guitar. Alfredo Sillau was on bass and Pedro Fuertes on drums. Their debut 'El Disco' came out in 2003, followed by 'Retrato Hablado' in 2006. That second album explored themes of love and loss, and its more experimental approach drew some criticism at the time.
