VFF formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2012 with three members: Victor Filgueira on vocals and guitar, his brother Felipe on bass, and Fábio Souza on drums. They released their debut album in 2015, also called "Tá Fazendo Falta," which included the title track that became popular.
Their music draws from samba, funk, and pop. Another song of theirs, "Tranquilidade," appears in their catalog alongside "Tá Fazendo Falta." In 2019 they put out a second album titled "Deixa Rolar."
Around 2017 there were some plagiarism accusations related to a song from an album called "Pra Curtir Comigo," but those claims didn't hold up. The band kept working after that.
