The original lineup included vocalist Eric Bauwens, guitarists Louis Verhoeven and Robin Verschueren, drummer Kevin Desmet, and bassist Frédéric De Ketelaere. They shared an interest in the melodic metal of Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride, along with the gothic tones of Type O Negative.
Their first album, 'Phoenix Rising,' came out in 2007. Bauwens had a vocal cord injury around that time but recovered after rehabilitation. The band kept recording, putting out albums like 'Torment and Transition' in 2009, 'Via Crucis' in 2011, 'Shadows of the Past' in 2014, and 'Contortions' in 2019.
