VIADEREGRHA BAND MUSIC formed in São Paulo in 1992 with Fabio Franca on vocals, Paulo Cardoso on guitar, William Costa on keyboards, Paulo Mikloss on bass, and Ricardo Bishara on drums. They worked in Brazilian rock but with an experimental bent that didn't always sit easily with commercial expectations.
In 1995 they released the album 'Sábia Loucura,' and the title track became something of an anthem. The song 'Maria' also comes from that period. Their sound mixed rock with electronic touches and traditional Brazilian rhythms, which gave them a distinct, somewhat uncategorizable profile.
They kept recording through the late '90s and 2000s with albums like 'Olho de Peixe,' 'A Estrada,' and 'Viver no Inferno.' Songs like 'Alto e Sublime Trono' and 'Companheiro Amigo' show their range. The lineup stayed mostly stable, with Franca handling vocals and songwriting.
