Viboras came out of Los Angeles in the late 1990s with a sound that mixed punk, experimental rock, and Latin rhythms. Their debut album 'The Sun' arrived in 2000, and its lead single 'Don't Let Me Get Me' became an indie hit. The band was led by vocalist and guitarist Erica Dunn, with Robert Trujillo on bass, David Hidalgo Jr. on guitar, and Josh Freese on drums.
They followed up with albums like 'Imperial' in 2002 and 'Synapses' in 2004, maintaining their reputation for unconventional arrangements and theatrical energy. Songs like '1234' and 'Ballad Of The Desperate Tv Addict' showed their range from catchy hooks to more complex structures.
After releasing 'Enemies and Lovers' in 2007, Viboras went on an extended hiatus. They've since returned to performing live and have appeared at various festivals, though they haven't released new studio material in some time.
