Vibreak formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2010, led by vocalist and guitarist Rafael Rocha with bassist Lucas Boaventura, drummer Paulo Costa, and keyboardist Pedro Novaes. Their debut album 'Dia de Surf' came out in 2011, and its title track 'Dia de Surf (Acordar Cedo)' became a summer staple in Brazil.
They followed with 'Onda Perfeita' in 2014, which got some critical notice but faced distribution problems. The band kept playing live, touring internationally and appearing at festivals.
Their lyrics sometimes touched on social and environmental themes, which sparked occasional debate. They released another album called 'Acordar' after 2016.
