Vicente Guzmán is a Mexican singer-songwriter who came up in the early 1990s. His debut album, "Así Como Yo," gave him a breakout hit with the title track, a ballad that did well on charts in Mexico and Latin America at the time.

He kept recording through the 2000s with albums like "Contigo en la Distancia" and "Entre Tus Brazos." Songs like "El Día Perfecto" and "Enamorado" show the romantic themes and straightforward delivery that became familiar to his listeners.

There were some rough patches along the way, including a plagiarism accusation in 2000 that was later dropped and personal struggles with addiction. He worked with a steady band for much of his career.
