Victor Mus formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, with the singer and guitarist of the same name at the center. Their debut album came out in 2000, followed by others like Alma in 2002, Refletir in 2006, Flores no Asfalto in 2009, Perdão in 2012, and Viver in 2016.
Songs like Que Sorte a Minha and Coragem have a straightforward pop-rock feel with Brazilian rhythms underneath. The band has worked with artists including Marisa Monte, Chico Buarque, and Gilberto Gil.
Over time, the lineup has shifted around Victor Mus. At one point it included Murilo Lima on bass, Fernando Almeida on drums, and Guilherme Jardim on guitar. In 2010, a public argument with a journalist caused some temporary trouble for the group.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
