Vilão Burguês formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s with vocalist Pancho, guitarist Rodrigo Lima, bassist Marcelo "Zil" Martins, and drummer Régis "Pity" Santos. Their debut album "Antes do Fim" came out in 2002, establishing their raw, aggressive style that mixed punk and hardcore elements.
Their 2006 album "O Refúgio" brought wider recognition, with the title track becoming a hit. The song "Relógio da Vida" also appears among their most notable work. In 2009, the band faced sexual misconduct allegations from a former fan, which led to protests and some venues refusing to book them.
Keyboardist Rafael "Shuck" Cesarini joined the lineup at some point, though the original core members remained.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
