Tony Vincent is a singer who first appeared on Broadway in 1996, playing Angel Dumott Schunard in the musical 'Rent.' He studied music at the University of Miami after growing up in New Haven, Connecticut.
In 2005, Queen asked him to sing lead vocals on their album 'Return of the Champions.' That recording included his version of 'We Are The Champions,' which became widely heard. He's also recorded songs like 'Closer To Your Dreams' and 'Every Day Became A Holiday.'
In 2013, Vincent was diagnosed with throat cancer and underwent treatment. Five years later, he posted tweets criticizing the #MeToo movement and later apologized for those comments.
