Vingança infernal

Vingança Infernal formed in São Paulo in 1994, with guitarist Fernando "Golgoth" de Almeida, bassist Renato "Rato" Lopes, and vocalist Claudio "Kaiowas" Domingos. Their music pulled from thrash, death, and black metal, with early influences including Slayer and Sepultura. They released albums like "Sem Perdão" in 1998 and "Na Sombra do Medo" in 1999.

Their lyrics, mostly written by Kaiowas, dealt with addiction and societal decay. The song "O Álcool Foi Encontrado" is a direct portrayal of alcoholism, its raw approach drawing both connection from listeners familiar with the subject and criticism from others who found it too explicit. The band faced some censorship and backlash in Brazil's underground scene.

Later albums like "O Último Julgamento" (2002) and "O Veneno Cura" (2010) showed their sound incorporating more melodic death metal elements. While the lineup changed around them, Golgoth, Rato, and Kaiowas remained the core. Their work found a dedicated audience among extreme metal listeners.
