Vintage Trouble formed in Venice, California around 2010, led by singer Ty Taylor. Their first release was a self-titled EP that year, followed by the debut album 'The Bomb Shelter Sessions' in 2011. The band's sound pulls from soul and blues, with songs like 'Another Baby' and 'Blues Hand Me Down' built around Taylor's vocals and guitar riffs.
They put out '100 Years' in 2013 and 'Chapter II' in 2018. Guitarist Nalle Colt, a founding member, left the band in 2016. Vintage Trouble has toured regularly, and a live album from the Electric Ballroom came out in 2014.
Some of their lyrics have drawn criticism, which Taylor has addressed by saying they reflect real relationships. The band's recordings include the tracks 'Pelvis Pusher' and 'Before The Tear Drops'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
