Vinylshakerz

Vinylshakerz were a London-based group who had their biggest moment with a 1984 cover of 'One Night In Bangkok.' That track became a dancefloor staple across Europe, riding the wave of the emerging electronic dance scene at the time. Their sound on that record and others like 'Club Tropicana' and 'Hypnotic Tango' was built on a straightforward, infectious beat that worked well in clubs.

Mark Summers was involved with the band early on, though he left by the end of the 1980s. After that, keyboardist Steve Strange took a leading role as they kept recording. Their work in the 1990s, including the album 'Transcendental,' showed them trying out house and ambient textures alongside their established style.
