The band included Zé Viola on lead vocals and accordion, Joãozinho do Exu on backing vocals and zabumba, Vavá da Sanfona and Chica do Acordeon on accordion, and Taty Vaqueira on triangle and backing vocals.
In 2005, they released the single "Doutor Meu Estudo É Pouco," a song about the difficulties of life with little formal education that connected with listeners across Brazil. Other tracks like "Cadê Você" and "Minha Cara Metade" also became part of their repertoire.
They put out albums such as Vaquejadas e Balanços in 2005, Forró do Interior in 2007, and Festa na Roça in 2012. Their music drew from traditional forró while incorporating contemporary touches, and they were known for energetic live shows that sometimes sparked debate.
