Viola Beach was an indie rock band from Warrington, England, formed by Kris Leonard on vocals and guitar, River Reeves on guitar, Jack Dakin on bass, and Tom Lowe on drums. They released a few songs like 'Call You Up' and 'Boys That Sing' in 2016, which caught some attention for their straightforward, melodic sound.
In February 2016, the band and their manager Craig Tarry died in a car accident near Stockholm, Sweden. Their posthumous album 'Boys That Sing' came out later that year, collecting what they had recorded.
Their music, including tracks like 'Cherry Vimto' and 'Daises', stays in rotation for fans who found something in its unpolished charm. A foundation was set up in their memory to help young musicians.
