Virtude

Virtude formed in São Paulo around 2010 with Felipe Arantes on vocals and guitar, Neco Vaz on bass, and Mattheus Estrela on drums. They started playing local clubs and festivals, building a following with songs that mixed rock and pop with Brazilian folk elements. Their debut album 'Reino Invisível' established their sound, followed by later releases like 'Equilibrium' and 'Ser Humano'.

Their song 'Entrega' became one of their most recognized tracks, along with 'Todas As Canções' and 'Ele É'. The band's writing process was collaborative, with Arantes handling most of the vocals and lyrics while Vaz and Estrela shaped the rhythm section. Their music drew some criticism for being too experimental, but they kept working in their own direction.

Virtude's later material, including the album 'Entrega', showed a more settled approach while keeping their melodic focus. They became known in Brazil for songs that balanced accessibility with their particular blend of styles, avoiding straightforward categorization.
