Visão Moral formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s, with Rodrigo Gonçalves on vocals and guitar, Rogerio 'Kiko' Rivello on bass, Paulo César 'PC' Ferreira on drums, and Chris Leal on guitar. Their name translates to Moral Vision, which hints at the band's interest in music that carries some weight beyond just the sound.
They released their debut album 'A Persistência Realiza o Impossível' in 2004, which gave them a title track that became something of a calling card. That song, along with others like 'Não Nasci Ontem' and 'Sonhar É Preciso,' shows their approach to heavy metal with melodic death metal elements and lyrics that lean toward social themes.
After that first album, they put out 'O Amanhã Pertence a Nós' in 2008, 'Entre a Razão e a Loucura' in 2012, and 'Reflexos do Futuro' in 2018. Their sound has incorporated thrash, progressive, and folk influences over these records, though they've kept a heavy metal foundation throughout.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
