Vita

Vita was a quartet from New York City with Scott Russo on vocals, Johnny Vatos on guitar, Chris Traynor on bass, and Steve Murphy on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2000, and a few years later their song 'Big Mommas Theme' became their breakout track when it was used for the 2005 comedy film of the same name.

That song gave them some mainstream attention, but they also faced a legal issue in 2006 over an unauthorized sample in it. They followed up with albums like 'Feel the Moment' in 2004 and 'Under the Radar' in 2008, which showed them working with different sounds. Other songs in their catalog include 'Crazy Over You' and 'Magic Touch'.
