Vitor e Matias

Vitor Duarte and Matias Antônio met in the rural town of São Gonçalo do Sapucaí, where they started out as street performers. They released their debut album in 1999, which included the track 'Salete' that became an instant hit and brought them national attention.

Vitor handles vocals and songwriting, while Matias plays guitar and produces. Their music works within the sertanejo tradition, though they've incorporated some pop and rock elements over time.

In 2002, they faced plagiarism accusations over the song 'Meu Bem,' but were eventually cleared. They've continued to release albums like 'Amor de Verdade' and 'Nosso Mundo' over the following years.
