Vocalliz Soul formed as a quartet in the early 2000s with Amanda Rodrigues, Thaís Moreira, Valéria Oliveira, and Kelly Rosa. Their debut album "Encontrei" came out in 2002 and gave them their first major exposure in Brazil. The title track became something of a signature for the group, built around their layered vocal arrangements.
Kelly Rosa left in 2005 to work on solo material, and the band went through a quieter period. They came back in 2010 with new members Renata Arruda and Fabiana Cozza, and released the album "Infinito" in 2012. Their catalog includes songs like "Cantai," "Crônicas," and "Enche-me," which lean into Brazilian popular styles while keeping the vocal harmonies central.
They've put out a handful of albums over time, including "Nosso Lugar," "Acústico," and "Clássicos." The group's sound has shifted some with different lineups, but the focus has stayed on the vocal blend rather than any one genre.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
