Volts formed in Curitiba in 2001 with vocalist and guitarist Marcos Aurélio, bassist Jean "Esculacho" Michel, and drummer Renato "Renaut" Carneiro. Their debut album "Fúria e Alma" came out in 2004, and they've put out records like "O Terceiro Mundo" in 2006 and "XI" in 2016.
Their song "A Morte Te Espera" drew some attention for its content, but they kept going with their approach. Other tracks in their catalog include "A Realidade" and "Bom é Pirar."
Marcos Aurélio has been the main songwriter through the band's run. They've worked with a sound that pulls from thrash and groove metal, but without making too much of a fuss about it.
