Archive material and source history
Vomit the Hate put out their first demo in 2005, followed by the full-length album 'Alive in a Common Grave' in 2007. That album's title track became one of their better-known songs, along with 'As Loneliness Devours' and 'Premortem Rot' from later releases.
Their live shows sometimes drew attention for reasons beyond the music. At the 2008 Grindfest festival, they reportedly performed with animal sacrifice and self-mutilation, which led to some venues refusing to book them afterward.
The band's lineup included Varg von German on vocals, Vlad the Impaler on guitar, Pest on bass, and Vomitor on drums. They released several more albums and an EP through 2016, working mostly within the underground metal scene where their aggressive sound found an audience.
