Vozes e Trovões formed in Brazil during the 1970s with Leonardo "Leo" Garcia on vocals, Thiago "Tigre" Moreira on guitar, Ricardo "Rico" Silva on bass, and Paulo "Paulista" Santos on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1974, followed by records like "Terra dos Cegos" in 1976 and "Reino da Loucura" in 1979.
Their music mixed hard rock with psychedelic touches and Brazilian rhythms.
"A Pedra Espiritual," released in 1976, remains their most recognized track. The band disbanded in the early 1980s, though they briefly reunited for some live shows in the late 1990s.
