Vozes Urbanas came together in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with MC Rael, Thiago Elniño, and DJ Ton. They started putting out music that mixed rap, soul, and funk, drawing from the sounds around them. Their debut album was called 'Nós, Vozes, Urbanas.'
A remix of 'Chuva de Fogo' featuring Neves and Davi XXI got a lot of attention. Other songs like 'Está Consumado,' 'Nêga,' and 'O Céu É Real' with Carol Lins show their range. The lyrics often touch on social and personal themes.
Their live shows were known for being energetic. The group's sound pulls from different places, including Brazilian rhythms and hip-hop, but it stays grounded in where they're from.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
