Wa Wa Nee was a 1990s alternative rock band built around John Davis on vocals and guitar, Robi Navin on bass, and Mark Matthews on drums. Their debut album 'Sugar Free' came out in 1994, with the title track becoming their most recognizable song. They followed it with two more studio albums, 'This Is Not a Love Song' in 1996 and 'The Weight of the World' in 1999.
Beyond 'Sugar Free,' their catalog includes songs like 'So Good' and 'Can't Control Myself.' The band was known for energetic live shows during their active years, but they disbanded in the early 2000s. Afterward, Davis moved into writing and filmmaking, while the other members pursued different projects.
