Wacci formed in 2010 when guitarist and vocalist Kenji Ijichi, bassist Ryoji Yamaki, and drummer Kazuya Sato came together. They signed with Avex Trax in 2016, and their debut album 'Venus' reached the top of the Oricon charts.
Their song 'No Regret' brought them mainstream recognition. Other tracks like 'Kirameki' and 'Anata ga Iru' are among their most popular work.
In 2020, bassist Ryoji Yamaki was arrested for drug possession, which led to a brief hiatus for the band. They returned to performing afterward.
