Wacky Kids formed in São Paulo in the late 1970s, with Marcelo Nova on vocals and guitar, Marco Mattoli and Carlos Brito on guitars, Dinho Leme on bass, and Alfredo Dias Gomes on drums. They put out their debut album 'Nada Mudou' in 1980, which included the title track and songs like 'Quem Decide Sou Eu' and 'Acho Que Não Sei.'
Their music had a raw, energetic quality that drew from rock and punk, with some Brazilian rhythms mixed in. They followed up with albums like 'V.U.P. (Você Sabe o Que É?)' in 1982, 'Animal' in 1984, and 'Mato Grosso' in 1986. Other songs in their catalog include 'Ah!', 'Allright', and 'Beira do Rio.'
Their concerts were known for being energetic and drawing passionate crowds.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
