Wai-B was a reggaeton duo from Medellín, Colombia, made up of vocalist El Dany (Dany Garcia Pineda) and producer DJ Chan El Genio. Their 2014 track 'Se Que Tu Quieres' became a hit that reached international audiences. They also worked with J Balvin on 'La Canaleta' in 2017.
El Dany was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and died in 2019. Some of the group's lyrics drew criticism for explicit content, which they defended as reflecting life in their city. After El Dany's death, Wai-B effectively came to an end.
