Waiting Room formed with Adam Lehrer on vocals and guitar, Stephen Illsley on guitar, Dan Jacobs on bass, and Matt Marrone on drums. They released their first EP 'All You Didn't Say' in 2007, which gave them their signature song of the same name. The following year they put out their self-titled debut album.
Their music has a post-punk revival feel with songs like 'Café' and 'Dopamine' showing their range from energetic performances to more introspective moments. They released two more albums, 'The Witching Hour' in 2010 and 'The Vanity of Youth' in 2012, along with several EPs including 'The Hunter's Moon' and 'The Last Great Love'.
The band went through lineup changes over time, with guitarist Andrew Garrett and drummer David Kull both leaving the group at different points. They also had a legal dispute with their former label that led to a hiatus in their activities. Through these challenges, they kept recording material like 'Carpet Burn' and 'For Every Passing Moment' that maintained their alternative rock sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
