Wallace Basílio was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1974 and grew up with samba rhythms around him. He started singing and playing guitar, influenced by artists like Zeca Pagodinho and Martinho da Vila.
His debut album 'Me Chama de Amor' came out in 2004, with the title track becoming a hit. He followed it with albums including 'Musa da Favela' in 2006, 'Tudo Nosso' in 2010, and 'Meu Tudo' in 2014. The song 'Meu tudo - Douglas Gabriel' appears in his catalog.
In 2017, Basílio had a serious lung infection that interrupted his work for a time. He recovered and returned to performing.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
