Wallen formed in Brussels around 2008, with Frédéric De Backer on vocals, Nicolas Dufour on guitar, Édouard Sfez on bass, and François Marsal on drums. They released their first album, 'Les Poissons,' in 2011, followed by 'Lumières' in 2015 and later records like 'À Travers la Pluie' and 'Les Enfants du Temps.'
Their song 'À Force de Vivre' came out in 2010 and became a hit in Belgium. Other tracks like 'Abimée' and 'Avoir la vie devant soi' show their style, which mixes pop and rock with straightforward lyrics. They played concerts and festivals in Europe, building a following there.
They returned to recording and performing afterward. Their music often deals with everyday themes, as heard in songs such as 'Bouge Cette Vie' and 'Celle qui a dit non.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
